This little building has had a few lives. It started as a carriage house, then spent years as a garage. Now it’s a small loft apartment that gives the homeowners a lot more flexibility.

They wanted a space that could work for a future live-in

When we walk into a historic home, we are not looking for ways to erase it. We are looking for what is already working. Old floors, solid doors, good millwork, built ins that were made to last.
